AI is The Interface of The Internet
I won’t be the first person to say this nor the last1. When Ford Prefect first showed Arthur Dent his copy of the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy2 and he delivers some information about Vogons my young imagination was tantalized. Years later when Dad brought dial up into the home I could not help but make the comparison.
Here I am once again looking at the advent of the AI Agent feeling the on rush 3prefectitory waves wash over my mind except for the first time I am old enough and wise enough to see a bright path forward. Mind you it is a lot like Pilgrims4 path between the two hungry lions5 but here we are.
The bright path between is discovery. We have for so long fought the fight of who would own the landscape that is The Internet. For so long social media and the search engines had dominated. Now the likes of Open AI, Anthropic, and of course Google will hold the reigns corporately.
What does that leave for the rest of us. What part of this landscape can we scoop a living out of? The answer and the bright line is discovery. The interface is here. It has arrived. The question of delivering your content your thoughts your own discovery is settled. Now you need only carry the fire to beacon.

Every new piece of tech that delivers information will be said to be the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy. We only hope it is never the Guide Mk II ↩

A wonderful book that always ends in an atheistic it just doesn’t matter. Too bad everything in that book argued against the authors conclusions. ↩
